Caregivers connect: Finding strength in each other! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This past year, Prescott Group launched Caregivers Connect<\/strong>\u2014a community-driven program designed to bring together parents, caregivers, and families of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premise was simple: caregivers need space to breathe, laugh, learn, and feel less alone. The result? A series of joyful, honest, and deeply supportive monthly gatherings that have become a highlight for many. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSometimes it\u2019s just good to know we\u2019re not on our own.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

While caregivers connected, loved ones participated in Club Inclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From flower arranging and paint nights to letting off steam with axe throwing, and deep dives into topics like housing and the dignity of risk, each session was shaped by the people in the room. While caregivers connected, their loved ones participated in inclusive activities hosted by Club Inclusion\u2014ensuring no one had to find extra respite or miss out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events were held at Prescott and Club Inclusion sites and venues across Halifax, offering flexible access, refreshments, and meaningful conversation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by NSLC and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Caregivers Connect has quickly become more than a program\u2014it\u2019s a growing circle of care, advocacy, and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s just getting started.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
